PBIS Rewards
"Super kid cash" is awarded to students who demonstrate positive behaviors. Students are encouraged to collect "super kid cash" to be used in the school store. Each month, our school store will be open at the end of the school day. Students can visit the store and redeem their "super kid cash" for prizes. Each item in the store has a set value, so students may wish to spend or save their “super kid cash” throughout the school year - depending on the item they wish to purchase. We will also have a weekly drawing. Our STAR students selected in the weekly drawing will have their names displayed on the bulletin board in the hallway AND will get a restaurant coupon and/or prize. Students in grades 4 - 8 also participate in PBIS by having monthly celebrations. From recess time with the Principal to watching a movie, good behavior is celebrated!

Office Referral Policy & Behavioral Consequences
Faculty and staff members will use office referrals to record individual infractions. Infractions are grouped into two categories: minor and major. Minor infractions include situations that occur minimally within the school setting and are managed by the classroom teacher. Major infractions are recorded based on the severity and/or frequency of the incident and are addressed by the Principal. After 3 minor infractions, the action becomes a major infraction and will be handled by the Principal. Major infractions will result in an after-school detention. To give all students an opportunity to be successful, the number of office referrals for major infractions are reset quarterly.
